Our Program

406 Kennels LLC is located in Fort Shaw, MT. We are a very active family who loves all things outdoors. Once upon a time, we decided to add another K-9 companion to our family. We found ourselves struggling to find the perfect fit. We love to hunt, but we also wanted something that could relax at home with us and not be high-strung. We had been thinking about starting our own breeding program and we decided that Tammy's 13 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician and our love for the Fox Red Labrador Retriever breed was the perfect way to get started. We had our first litter of puppies and haven't looked back! Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our animals from birth until they leave with their forever family - and beyond. We have worked hard to provide a quiet tempered dog, but also a working dog. Something for the weekend warrior, the active family, and even the more competitive person. These dogs are extremely versatile. They have a blocky, English lab head and more muscle than the American lab, but have the athleticism of the American lab which helps make them more versatile in the field.
